MEMBERSHIP ENROLMENT

1. To become a House of Knives Band-Aid+ member, pick up a Band-Aid+ application kit and membership card when you make a transaction at any participating House of Knives store.
2. Even if you have been registered as a Band-Aid member at one of our stores, you still need to pick up a membership card at one of our locations and activate it to start collecting Edge Points. Edge Points cannot be applied retroactively to purchases made prior to activating a Band-Aid+ membership account.
3. Once you have the Band-Aid+ membership kit, you must register your card online and in your name to activate the card. Note: Registration requires a valid email address.
4. House of Knives Band-Aid+ members should not share any of their account details including password and security.
5. Band-Aid+ memberships may require up to 24 hours to become active.
6. 2,000 Band-Aid+ bonus Edge Points are only available to customers who register online.
7. Our Band-Aid+ program is currently available only for customers who shop at one of our BC stores.

LIMITATIONS AND RESTRICTIONS

8. Only one House of Knives Band-Aid+ membership card is available per customer.
9. The House of Knives Band-Aid+ membership card is not a credit card. The House of Knives Band-Aid+ membership card remains the property of House of Knives and membership may be revoked at any time by House of Knives at its sole discretion.
10. Customers participating in the Band-Aid+ membership program must present their activated House of Knives Band-Aid+ membership card to collect points and earn rewards. For the customer’s convenience, the membership also includes membership ID labels which may be used instead of the membership card. Henceforth, reference to the Band-Aid+ membership card also includes the membership ID labels.
11. Any unauthorized reproduction of the House of Knives Band-Aid+ card may lead to legal prosecution and the cancellation of the membership including the forfeiture of all Band-Aid+ Edge Points earned.
12. It is the customer’s responsibility to keep his or her profile updated. Your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address can be changed by visiting http://www.houseofknives.net/bandaid or by visiting one of our stores. If House of Knives believes some of its information is inaccurate, it may contact the House of Knives Band-Aid+ member to confirm accuracy. House of Knives reserves the right to cancel any House of Knives Band-Aid+ Card for incomplete or inaccurate information and all Band-Aid+ Edge Points redemptions may be blocked. The submission of false information will result in all Band-Aid+ Edge Points on an account being forfeited.
13. House of Knives Band-Aid+ membership is only available to individuals not employed by House of Knives. House of Knives Band-Aid+ membership will not be available to corporations, businesses, charities or anyone other than an individual, unless written approval is received in advance from House of Knives.

COLLECTION OF BAND-AID+ EDGE POINTS

13. Edge Points are earned on the initial transaction when a Band-Aid+ membership card has been issued.
14. The House of Knives Band-Aid+ membership card must be presented to the cashier at a participating store before the completion of a transaction. Band-Aid+ Edge Points cannot be awarded once the transaction is completed.
15. Band-Aid+ Edge Points will be awarded at the rate of 10 Band-Aid+ Edge Points for each dollar spent before taxes. Band-Aid+ Edge Points will be calculated by reference to the net (purchase price less discounts) pre-tax total of each cash register receipt.
16. House of Knives may offer special promotions that offer additional Band-Aid+ Edge Points on certain products and/or vendors.
17. Band-Aid+ Edge Points earned will be recorded on the cash register receipt for each Band-Aid+ member’s transaction as long as the member’s account is active and either a Band-Aid+ membership card or membership ID has been shown before the completion of the transaction.
18. Band-Aid+ Edge Points will not be issued on purchases of gift cards.
19. All Band-Aid+ Edge Points totals, as shown on the cash register receipts, will be considered correct. Any discrepancies must be addressed with House of Knives within 30 days of the transaction date.
20. House of Knives reserves the right to restrict redemption or put a “hold” on Band-Aid+ Edge Points for up to 14 days from the date the points are posted to an account.
21. Band-Aid+ Edge Points are not transferable from one House of Knives Band-Aid+ member to another.
22. Band-Aid+ Edge Points are reduced to zero upon closure of a House of Knives Band-Aid+ membership.
23. Upon the death of a House of Knives Band-Aid+ member, the member’s account will be closed and the Edge Points within it forfeited.
24. If a House of Knives Band-Aid+ member’s account is inactive for 24 consecutive months, all Edge Points will be forfeited.
25. If a House of Knives Band-Aid+ member was awarded points for an offer or promotion in which a member purchased product in excess of reasonable household quantities, the Band-Aid+ Edge Points awarded as a result of that offer or promotion may be forfeited without prior notice.

REDEMPTION OF BAND-AID EDGE POINTS CREDITS

26. Band-Aid+ Edge Points may be redeemed for credits for store purchases with a minimum of 2,000 Edge Points.
27. Band-Aid+ Edge Points can be redeemed for credits in multiples of 1,000 points after the initial 2,000 point minimum. For example, if a Band-Aid+ member has earned 4,480 points, the Band-Aid+ member may redeem up to 4,000 points. The remaining points will be retained in the Band-Aid+ member’s account. 28. If the House of Knives Band-Aid+ member’s Edge Points credit is greater than the purchase price, the maximum number of Edge Points available are rounded down to the nearest 1,000 points. For example, if a total purchase is $18.47 and a member has 4,000 points, they would be able to use 3,000 points for a $15 credit, paying the $3.47 difference by their preferred method.
29. Edge Point credits cannot be redeemed for cash.
30. Although Band-Aid+ Edge Points credits may be used towards the purchase of Gift Cards, the purchase of Gift Cards will not earn Edge Points.
31. Band-Aid+ Edge Points credits may not be redeemed by any person other than the House of Knives Band-Aid+ member. To protect our Band-Aid+ members from fraud, House of Knives Band-Aid+ members may require proof of identity before permitting a customer to redeem Band-Aid+ Edge Points credits.
32. If your Band-Aid+ card is lost or stolen, please visit one of our stores to pick up a new card. The store clerk will associate the new card to your current account. Once a new card becomes activated it can be used immediately and the lost or stolen card becomes deactivated and cannot be used for any future purchases.
33. House of Knives assumes no liability or responsibility for Band-Aid+ Edge Points redeemed by any person(s) other than the authorized Band-Aid+ member.
34. Band-Aid+ Edge Points credits have no cash value and are not exchangeable for cash. Band-Aid+ Edge Points are void if sold for cash or any other consideration.

RETURNS AND/OR EXCHANGES AND EDGE POINTS CREDITS

38. Returns and/or exchanges will be accepted with a valid proof of purchase and as per the terms and conditions listed on the back of the receipt. For returns, Band-Aid+ Edge Points will be deducted automatically from the House of Knives Band-Aid+ member’s account based on the card number that was presented for the original purchase.
39. Although the Band-Aid+ membership card is not required for a refund or an exchange, a membership card is required if the customer wants to make an additional purchase and use previous credits earned on the same transaction.
40. If Edge Points credits were initially used to purchase the items being returned, all or a portion of these credits will automatically be returned to the Band-Aid+ member’s account that was used for the original purchase. The difference, if any, will be refunded as per the original payment type and as per the terms and conditions listed on the back of the receipt. The Band-Aid+ membership card is not required for exchanges or refunds.
41. Credits earned from Band-Aid Edge Points cannot be redeemed for cash.

OVER-THE-COUNTER WARRANTY BENEFITS FOR BAND-AID+ MEMBERS

42. Band-Aid+ members enjoy over-the-counter warranty protection on all purchases made with the Band-Aid+ membership card.
43. House of Knives guarantees all its products to be free of defects in materials and craftsmanship. We will replace or repair any item that does not conform to this standard for a minimum of one year from the date of purchase for all Band-Aid+ members.
44. Normal wear, cosmetic flaws, re-sharpening of the implement, damage caused by neglect, use of the implement for any purpose other than its intended purpose, misuse of any kind, or the failure to perform regular or necessary maintenance is not covered by the warranty. Other conditions may apply.
45. Warranty claims for purchases made without a Band-Aid+ member’s card will only receive warranty protection as per the standard terms and conditions listed on the back of the original transaction record.
46. House of Knives reserves the right to determine the eligibility for any warranty claim made at one of its stores. All decisions are considered final. In the event of a dispute, House of Knives may assist the Band-Aid+ member in making a claim with the manufacturer.

PRIVACY OF INFORMATION

47. House of Knives respects the privacy of every individual whether that individual visits our stores or our website.
48. We collect personally identifiable information, such as names, postal addresses, email addresses, etc., only when voluntarily submitted by our visitors.
49. House of Knives may use the personal information collected in the following ways:
• To process and store the information provided so we can better understand our customers’ needs and provide better care and products.
• To provide our customers with special offers and services.
• To provide our customers with the Edge-U-Cation related to our products and services.
50. On occasion, House of Knives may communicate special offers , information and services to House of Knives Band-Aid+ members via email. At any time any member who does not wish to receive these offers may unsubscribe from the service at anytime.
51. On occasion House of Knives may also collect additional information from House of Knives Band-Aid+ members on a strictly voluntary basis through questionnaires.
52. House of Knives will not give, rent or sell any customer information or any information about any visitor to this web site to any organization or individual.
53. When required, we may share information with governmental agencies or other companies assisting us in fraud prevention or investigation. We may do so only when: (1) permitted or required by law; or, (2) trying to protect against or prevent actual or potential fraud or unauthorized transactions; or, (3) investigating fraud which has already taken place. The information given will never be provided to these companies for marketing purposes.
54. We consider House of Knives Band-Aid+ member information confidential and restrict this information to only authorized personnel of House of Knives. However, House of Knives may use a reputable third party to deliver email. Such third party is under a contractual requirement to keep all personal information confidential and to only use any personal information for the sole purpose of sending you e-mail on behalf of House of Knives and to return any personal information once their services are completed.
55. We will be using a feature on your Internet browser called "cookies", which are files that your Internet browser puts on your hard drive. We will use cookies to help us provide you with a better experience when you visit this web site. It will let us know that you are a prior visitor and it will help us retrieve information that you may have previously provided to us.
56. House of Knives may also provide links to affiliated sites. The privacy policies of these linked sites are the responsibility of the linked site and House of Knives has no control or influence over their policies. Please check the policies of each site you visit for specific information. House of Knives cannot be held liable for damage or malicious content from other linked sites.
57. Band-Aid+ members may cancel their memberships at any time. Any Edge Point credits, special offers, etc., will be forfeited with any cancellation.
58. We reserve the right to change this privacy statement from time to time. We will inform you that the statement has been updated, as we will change the effective date of the statement, and make a note on our website's homepage that the statement has been changed.

GENERAL INFORMATION

60. House of Knives reserves the right to suspend or end the Band-Aid+ membership program at any time by providing 30 days notice in House of Knives participating stores. If events beyond House of Knives’ control materially affect House of Knives’ ability to operate the House of Knives Band-Aid+ membership program, the program may be suspended or terminated without notice.
61. The House of Knives Band-Aid+ member’s completion of the on-line form and usage of a House of Knives Band-Aid+ membership card constitutes agreement by the House of Knives Band-Aid+ member to all the Terms and Conditions of the House of Knives Band-Aid+ membership program.
62. Any abuse by a member of the House of Knives Band-Aid+ membership program’s privileges, rules, regulations, Terms and Conditions, or any misrepresentation by a member may, at House of Knives’ sole discretion, subject the member to expulsion from the membership program, including forfeiture of all accumulated Band-Aid+ Edge Points and associated credits and any other member benefits.
63. Upon suspension or termination of the Band-Aid+ membership program for any reason whatsoever, House of Knives will have no liability to any member and is automatically released from all claims by House of Knives Band-Aid+ members in respect of such suspension, termination, forfeiture of Band-Aid+ Edge Points and associated credits, redemption of Points or otherwise in respect of such suspension or termination.
64. By redeeming Band-Aid+ Edge Points for rewards, the House of Knives Band-Aid+ member releases House of Knives from any and all liability and claims regarding the redemption and use of the reward and any loss or damage caused by goods and services supplied as a reward.
