Online Return Policy

Refunds and Credits
  • We will refund or credit the full amount of your purchase within 30 days of the billing date*.
  • To receive a full credit or refund, the purchase must be presented with the original invoice and packaging at either a House of Knives store location, or mailed to our shipping address.*
  • Shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable except if the item is defective.
  • All refunds will be processed back to the original method of payment.
  • If the purchase was made using PayPal, and the purchase is returned to one of our store locations, a refund will be issued on either a credit card or Interac. Unfortunately we are unable to give cash for returns.
  • Gift cards are non-refundable. Items purchased using a gift card can only be exchanged for another item, or for another gift card.
*Excludes final sales & clearance items. Any "Gift/Bonus with Purchase" items must accompany the returned item(s) for a full refund. If not, the retail value of the Gift/Bonus items will be deducted from the total. Product and packaging must be in original condition. We reserve the right to apply a restocking fee at our discretion. For hygienic reasons, some personal care items are considered final sales.

Returning an Online Purchase

Return to processing centre by mail or courier
  1. All returns or exchanges require either a proof of purchase receipt or confirmed previous registration as a purchase in the BandEdge membership program.
  2. All returns or exchanges also require prior approval from House of Knives. Items returned without prior approval will be refused.
  3. To determine if your product qualifies for a return or exchange, please fill in our return authorization form which can be downloaded and sent [here]. Please be sure to open this document in Adobe Reader. If you can any questions please contact our customer service department: service@houseofknives.ca. You will receive a response within 5 business days.
  4. If your return or exchange has been approved, package your item securely and drop it off at any Canada Post outlet or your preferred courier service. To find your nearest Canada Post drop off location, visit www.canadapost.ca.
  5. You are responsible for your own shipping, handling, and insurance fees unless the item is defective or you have been shipped the wrong product. House of Knives will not accept responsibility for returned items lost in transit or damaged during shipping.

Return to Stores
  1. Return or exchange your item at any one of our 14 House of Knives locations across BC during regular business hours. For store locations please visit www.houseofknives.ca/store-locations. Please remember to bring your original invoice. The item must be in its original packaging.
  2. If you paid using a credit card, bring the credit card used for the original transaction for refunds or exchanges. If the purchase was originally made using PayPal, a refund will be issued on either a credit card or Interac. Unfortunately we are unable to give cash for returns.
Returns without an original receipt
  1. Items returned without a proof of purchase (original receipt or gift receipt) may be credited to a House of Knives gift card at the lowest sale price within the past 90 days. The item must be a House of Knives product, be in new condition, and in its original packaging with any included accessories.
  2. House of Knives reserves the right to refuse any and all returns if not accompanied by an original receipt at its discretion.
  3. Items meeting the above conditions may be returned either by mail or at one of our House of Knives store locations.
Return to Stores
  1. Items returned without a receipt or original proof of purchase at one of our store locations may be exchanged for a House of Knives gift card. House of Knives reserves the right to accept or refuse a return without an original proof of purchase at the discretion of the store manager.
Return to processing centre for exchange by mail or courier
  1. In some instances, a product received as a gift may be exchanged for another product. To determine if your product qualifies for an exchange, please contact our customer service department: service@houseofknives.ca. You will receive a response within 5 business days. Items returned without prior approval will be refused.
Gift Cards

House of Knives gift cards are redeemable for merchandise only. They are non-refundable and have no cash value. House of Knives will not accept responsibility for the loss, theft, damage, or unauthorized use of House of Knives gift cards.

Price Matches

Upon presentation of the original receipt, House of Knives will offer a one-time price adjustment for items purchased at regular or sale price within 30 days of purchase. Some conditions apply.
